Green or sustainable building is the practice of creating healthier and more resource-efficient models of construction, renovation, operation, maintenance, and demolition. Research and experience increasingly demonstrate that when buildings are designed and operated with their lifecycle impacts in mind, they can provide great environmental, economic, and social benefits.
RESOLUTE has had the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to Green Building construction by incorporating these practices into our processes. We are active members of the United States Green Building Council, and participate in ongoing AGC training for LEED green building and design.
The RESOLUTE Building Company currently has 3 employees who are LEED accredited professionals and could make them available to be assigned to your project. The RESOLUTE Building Company also has a staff member available to act as the LEED Coordinator, if required by your project.

The RESOLUTE Building Company is dedicated to sustainable building practices and as part of our commitment; we are assisting our project managers and project superintendents in becoming Green Associates in 2015.
RESOLUTE has a long history in the construction of sustainable projects.
RESOLUTE has also completed many LEED certified projects. Our project experience with the LEED commissioning and certification processes allows us to move through these processes with confidence. We know what our responsibility is and have developed checklists with regards to the submission of material, the construction, and the commissioning paperwork.
RESOLUTE has also worked successfully on projects where the Owner has wanted to incorporate as many sustainable design elements as possible but not pursue LEED certification. RESOLUTE, in conjunction with the design group, will provide different sustainable designs along with cost and benefit analyses. The Owner can choose what is appropriate for this project.
Many of the materials used in construction contain recycled material. During the pre-construction process, we can identify and assist in selecting those materials that will meet the projects needs and contain recycled material.
Any construction waste for your project can be sent to a waste separation facility. This facility will sort all recyclable material. We can submit recycling reports from the separation facility indicating the percent of waste that is recycled. On the East 54 project, 98.5% of the old University Motel that was demolished prior to construction was recycled. The concrete and masonry materials were crushed onsite and used as access roads and staging areas in lieu of buying gravel for access roads/staging areas. The asphalt pavement was recycled. Columns and cupolas were given the public for reuse.
