Opening of Stancell Drive Car Wash – Clean Wheels Autowash

Congrats again to the Stancell Team for getting the final certificate of occupancy on April 4th, 2018,  so the Owner wash was able to open on April 5th.  The car wash will be open from 8am to 5pm, so please try and go by there to get your car cleaned. Many thanks again to all of you that have been involved with getting this project finished.  It was truly a TEAM effort, bottom up and top down.  Operating as Clean Wheels, it is locally owned and operated, and is Chapel Hill’s first and only full service car wash.

Contract Awarded

Resolute has been advised by the Architect, ADW, our partners at Garner and WCCC, that we have been awarded the Southern Pines Fire Station. The low bidder had an error in their bid and had to withdraw. Congrats to the Bid Team that pushed this one forward.
The Construction Team will be comprised of Hyatt Field, Doug Kirk and David Shaw with support from Rick Reno and Dan Shields. We wish them well as we finally get to prove our ability to achieve success on this fire station project.

New Hire

We are pleased to announce that Steve Slater joined our company on Monday, 3/5/18. Steve will be the Project Manager on the Cambridge Projects. Welcome, Steve, to the Resolute team and Building Better.

On behalf of Resolute Building Company and all of our team members, we extend our special congratulations and THANKS to Dan Shields for his years of service with the company.  Dan celebrated 20 years with Resolute on March 2, 2018.  On this milestone anniversary we would like to say “Outstanding job Dan and we appreciate everything you have done over the years with Resolute and the Resolute Family!  Here’s to another 20!”

Refocusing on Focus Groups

Resolute Building Company’s “focus groups”, which have now been in place for 2 years, were open for new enrollment in 2018, as we are ready to put these groups into full action.   Under the direction of the Executive Focus Group, Resolute’s on-going focus groups include the Project Manager Focus Group; the Superintendent Focus Group; the Safety Focus Group; and the Human Resources Group.

We look forward to heading into 2018 and challenging each other to “building better”!

New Position | New Assignment

Resolute is pleased to announce that we have created a new position within the company, Marketing Manager. This position will take over the primary responsibility of preparing all responses to Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, etc., in addition to working directly with our Business Development and Safety Director; focusing on new pursuits in the Chapel Hill area and all those counties that border Wake and Orange Counties, as well as working on the Safety side of our business while continuing to stress the importance of working and being safe on all of our projects.

So please join us in congratulating the person that has been assigned to this position, Bryan Anna.  We wish Bryan the best in this new position and look forward to the great results he will bring to our company, at every level!

Winter Olympics 2018 – what can we do to support?

So the question was: “What can we do to support, and get involved with the Winter Olympics this year?”

The answer: follow the sport, follow an athlete!

Each Resolute employee randomly drew a sport to support and then he/she selected an athlete to follow.  See the chart!  Folks are really engaged and some of them are corresponding via email or text with some of the Athletes!  Go USA!

Annual Fund Raiser

Resolute sponsored a golf fund raising event in November at the Hillandale Golf Course in Durham to benefit the Raleigh Read and Feed organization. We are proud to say that the proceeds exceeded everyone’s expectations.  We would like to thank all those who helped plan, organize and execute the event, as well as all the participants and contributors.  Job well done!

Contract Awarded

Resolute is pleased to announce that we were awarded contracts for 2 projects at Cambridge Village-Apex Campus. One is for an expansion to their existing facility, adding additional units; and the other is for interior renovations and an addition to the clubhouse. An early-January start is anticipated. Special thanks to Patrick Rowe who led the preconstruction effort and brought this project from a vision to reality!

Veterans Day Appreciation

As we reflected this past Veterans Day, remembering all those that served our country in the past and those currently serving, special acknowledgement and thank you goes out to our Resolute veterans, which include, but may not be limited to: Tom Bennink, Casey Lasek, Leroy Haskins, Randy Grubb, Reubin Gillis, and Dan Shields. Many thanks!

Thanksgiving – Resolute Style

As everyone prepares for this special Thanksgiving season, and taking time to think about what you and we are all “thankful” for, as part of Resolute’ s continued commitment to “give back” to others and show our “thanks”; today, on behalf of our Resolute Family, we presented 12 cases of popcorn to the USO at RDU Airport for them to distribute to our soldiers and families over the holiday season. Wishing all an enjoyable and restful Thanksgiving weekend and for those of you that are traveling, please be safe and look out for each other!

Special congratulations and thanks goes to the project team, Philip Crosby, Doug Kirk, Kathy Harding, and to the estimator for this new project, Ryan Plankenhorn. We are waiting for the building permit before we announce a start date, but we anticipate we should break ground on or about 12/1/17.
